State Champs

My nephew's 4.0 men's team played in the State tennis tournament this weekend. Ryan's team won! They will be representing Mississippi in the Southern Sectional Tournament in Birmingham next month. Congrats guys! Riley loved watching the "big boys hit the ball so hard". Notice that he even put on my brother's shoes to watch the match in! He wanted to go out on the court where Ryan was so bad. It was a challenge to make him understand that he couldn't just walk out on the court and that he had to be quiet during the points. He'll be out there playing with Ryan and Reid before we know it! He is growing up so fast.
We finished up swimming lessons at Cypress Lake this week and boy- am I glad. It wore me out fighting with him every single day. He cried because he didn't want to go and then he would cry because he didn't want to leave. He learned a lot and he will announce randomly every now and then, "I swim like a little fish!"
We went back to the movies this week to see "Over the Hedge". He made it through the whole thing. He didn't move! It was bliss!
Braxton started whining when we left the movies because Riley wanted to go to Liberty Park to play baseball. Braxton didn't want to but my persistent little guy kept begging him until Braxton relented. His new thing to say whenever Braxton cries or whines is, "Want me to hold you, Braxy?" Ashley and I laugh and say that we can't wait to tell them when they are older that Riley always offered to hold Braxton. I have a feeling they won't think that is as cute when they are 18 as we do!
